Pooh Playful Spot

[update: Pooh’s Playful Spot has been gone since the 2010s ‘Fantasyland Expansion…’ But rejoice for the tree has been saved and moved in front of the queue of the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh across the way.]

Every Magic Kingdom, or most of them holds a young children play area. Few of them bares the quality and style of Pooh’s Playful Spot in Walt Disney World !

Located north of the Kingdom, where the entrance of the Submarine Voyage used to be, Kids can slide into lifesize tree trunk, giant hunny pot and run around the house of Winnie ! One big tree act as the centerpiece of this nano-land. The ground is rubber surfaced with a twist, each rubber bits looks like a chip of wood, making this soft surface one big bed of wood and leaves.

I think I may have mentioned this at the Gazette a while back, but I for some reason think my preschool teacher credibility follows me everywhere. Unfortunately, parents, no matter how cautious you are not to get childrne in your pictures, still don’t understand why a grown man on his own would want to take pictures of Pooh’s Playful Spot. However, these night shots are fantastic, I may have to take a moment to check this out in the evening next trip!

I took my nephew (3 years old then) last year and getting him out of there was a task. He had a ball and only the promise of Peter Pan’s Flight would lure him away.

Ryan – Indeed this is delicate, even though I’m never on my own when taking the pictures, watching them afterward I always spot angry faces. Good thing, I have to blur them anyway :)

It is good that blog posts like this continue to exist. This is the child’s world where Pooh loves to indulge in. Pooh’s playful spot is a good shot is Walt Disney World, I suppose.
